Agenda: This webinar will discuss the hazard of occupational noise exposure in the public sector. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that 22 million workers are exposed to potentially damaging noise at work each year. Whether you work for a facilities department, public works department, school, university, or a public safety department, hearing loss is preventable.

You will learn about the following:
• Job tasks with occupational noise exposure in the public sector.
• When a hearing conservation program is required.
• Controls to help lower occupational noise exposure including Engineering Controls, Administrative Controls, and Personal Protective Equipment.
• How DLS SafetyWorks Consultation Program can assist public sector establishments with assessing noise.
