Message from the President Chief Brian F. Nardelli, Brockton FD
As we enter into a new year for our Executive Board and Board of Directors, we look forward to the challenges and success’s that will come before us. None of the will be accomplished without a team effort. The Executive Board and Board of Directors are strong and look to take on these burgeoning challenges. This is only possible with one voice, one strategy and vision for the future.
I am honored to serve as your 104 President of such a noble and prestigious organization and I look forward to working with all of you to advance our agenda as Fire Chiefs throughout this great Commonwealth. This is only possible if all of our ships are sailing in the same direction. I have decided to invite all Chairs of committees to the BOD meetings to receive a first-hand account of what they are seeing and hearing within the committees they chair. This is crucial to our success, as we can make real time decisions. This also allows for the flow of information to the committees with direction from the BOD. Without a cohesive plan we will falter. Fire Chiefs should not falter, as we have so much on our shoulders and so many depend on us.
In the coming weeks the BOD will vote on the appointment of the Communication Legislative Liaison. This position will work to fold in legislative priorities with all of our partners and streamline communication throughout the organization.
In the coming weeks I will look to add on to our current strategic plan and move to implement many actions to move the fire service forward. This strategic plan looks to improve inclusivity though out the state, to not only listen, but to hear the priorities of our Chiefs and work to move our agenda forward.
Always remember, we need one voice, one strategy and one vision to be successful in this everchanging world.
Godspeed
