Fire Chief Lee Callahan has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Chief Callahan joined the Burlington Fire Department in July 1978 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 1993. In 2002 he was promoted to Assistant Fire Chief and in 2004 he was promoted to Chief in 2004 and retired on June 28, 2010.
