Chief Michael Kelleher-President of the Fire Chiefs Association of Massachusetts and the Public Safety Broadband Technology Association (PSBTA), extend a cordial invitation to you and your staff to attend our upcoming FirstNet Community Training Forum in Westborough, MA.

The Public Safety Broadband Technology Association (PSBTA) is dedicated to ensuring the success of the entire FirstNet ecosystem. In 2012, following the recommendations of the 911 Commission, Congress passed Public Law 112-96, creating the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN). This network has revolutionized public safety communication across the country, providing mission-critical services through broadband technology, thereby serving as a force multiplier for agency service delivery.

As a retired Fire Chief and someone who deeply understands the value of interdisciplinary-inclusive-interoperability in public safety, I am personally invested in ensuring the success of this event. Reliable interoperable communications on the FirstNet network has undoubtedly saved lives throughout New England and in communities across America. It stands as the only network developed by public safety for public safety and is admired worldwide. In attendance will be key legislators and/or staff along with special guest presentations from the FirstNet Authority and Richard Fisk, the Massachusetts Statewide Interoperability Coordinator (SWIC).

Recent tragic events across the country demonstrate the importance of public safety agencies being able to communicate with one another and the tragic outcomes when communications are delayed or absent.
