Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood – and firefighters are among them. On April 7th Chelmsford Firefighter, Nick Spinale was seriously injured while working at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. Like countless others who suffer accidents, undergo surgery, or receive cancer treatment, he received blood that had been generously donated by strangers.
Together with the Chelmsford Firefighters Local 1839, Nick’s family, Chelmsford Fire Department, and the American Red Cross, there will be a blood drive on May 4th from 1000-1500 at the Massachusetts Fire Academy – 1 State Rd, Stow, MA. We hope you will honor Nick, by giving blood in his name and helping the next person who needs this life-saving resource.
