Anna Maria College offers free lecture series-LaVigne Lecture – April 15th, 5:00 pm

LaVigne Lecture – April 15th, Flyer

All are welcome to attend the 2026 LaVigne Lecture Series event on April 15th at 5:00 pm in Foundress Hall. The Lecture Series is made possible through the generosity of the late Edith Mooney LaVigne, a beloved Anna Maria College alumna and trustee. Each year, the series brings an author whose work reflects themes connected to our mission and curriculum.

This year’s lecture features Wayne Miller, the author of Burn Boston Burn: The Story of the Largest Arson Case in the History of the Country that details the series of crimes that shook the city of Boston in one of the largest arson cases on record in the history of the country.

This year’s event also serves as a special celebration of the 30th anniversary of our Fire Science program, recognizing its community impact and honoring alumni, including some fire chiefs who began their careers at AMC.

Alumni of the Fire Science program are invited to fill out this online form, or call 508-849-3218 and share their reflections on their time studying in the program.

Please join us in welcoming Wayne M. Miller to campus! A book signing and hors d’oeuvres reception will follow the presentation. We look forward to seeing you there!
