Annual Massachusetts Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony is held outside in Ashburton Park at 3:30 p.m.
Friday, September 11, 2026 -Join us on September 11 at the Massachusetts State House as we honor the bravery and sacrifice of our fallen firefighters and commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11. The Massachusetts Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony is outside in Ashburton Park and takes place rain or shine. There is plenty of seating!
Ceremony start time is 3:30 p.m.
Procession from Boston Common: This includes Pipes and Drum Bands, Honor Guards, fire chiefs and firefighters: Class A uniform requested. Line up in Boston Common across from the front of the State House on Beacon Street, Boston. Step off at 3:00 p.m.
While there is no parking at the State House, you can drop off guests at the entrance on Bowdoin Street (GPS: 122 Bowdoin St, Boston, MA 02108).
