Who is Eligible?

The Physical and PPE benefits apply to New Recruits of Volunteer Fire Departments. Basic Firefighter Training can be used for any Volunteer Emergency Responder on your roster.

Benefits

NFPA 1582 Physicals

Receive up to $400 per firefighter for an NFPA 1582-compliant physical confirming Fit for Duty status, helping ensure your team is healthy, capable, and ready to serve.

Firefighter & EMS Training

Get up to $2,500 per member for First Responder, EMT, Firefighter I, and Firefighter II training, including eligible travel costs such as mileage, lost wages, meals and lodging.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Secure up to $4,125 for a full set of structural PPE for new volunteer recruits who pass an NFPA 1582 physical and are enrolled in or have completed Firefighter I training.
