Martha Ellen Sempos Obituary

Martha Ellen Sempos, 65, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Osterville, Massachusetts. Born on February 22, 1960, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she lived a life marked by quiet strength, intelligence, and unwavering kindness.

Martha earned an associate’s degree in computer science, a field that reflected her sharp intellect and curiosity. Her love of learning extended beyond the classroom, she found joy and solace in the library and was an avid reader throughout her life. Whether immersed in a novel or exploring new ideas, Martha’s passion for knowledge was ever-present.

She cherished time spent at Dowses Beach, where the rhythm of the waves and the beauty of the Cape brought her peace. It was one of her favorite places, a sanctuary where she could reflect and recharge.

Martha is survived by her devoted husband, Byron Eldridge; her beloved daughters, Dorothy Eldridge and her fiancé Zachariah Almodobar and Alexis Eldridge. She also leaves behind her siblings: Constance Carbone and her husband Raymond Carbone, Robert Sempos and his wife Joyce Sempos, Christine Haden, Kathleen Sempos and her husband Bruce Kelenosy. Her parents, Christ and Ellen Sempos, preceded her in death.

Those who knew Martha will remember her as incredibly smart and kind-hearted. She faced life’s challenges with quiet determination and never gave up a legacy of resilience that continues to inspire those who loved her.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
