The Director position representing Massachusetts on the New England Association of Fire Chiefs is currently vacant. This is a critical position that helps develop objectives, set policies, manage budgets, and provide leadership, education, and representation to elevate fire service standards, support chiefs in their roles, and enhance professionalism for fire/EMS leaders across New England, focusing on member development and community service. Preferred candidates for the position typically have ten-years in this role, allowing for this representative to move up through all of the chair positions in the organization and eventually become the President of the Association.
After the deadline, the FCAM President will convene a screening panel consisting of the FCAM Board of Directors to review all applications and make a recommendation to the full FCAM Board of Directors for approval. All interested Fire Chiefs are encouraged to apply.
