Deputy Tom Ferraro, Billerica Fire; Lt Chris Towski, Cambridge Fire: Steve Sawyer, NFPA will lead a panel discussion on topics and real life experiences in the fire prevention field. Topics include resources for the fire prevention professional, conducting inspections, navigating the permit and complaint process, common inspections - oil, propane, fire alarm and more
Plan Review with Maurice Pillette
This session is designed for experienced fire prevention personnel with more than two year of experience and who have plan review responsibilities. This advanced plan review course will guide the participants through the plan review process with hands on activities
Photovoltaics
Bob Duval NFPA will discuss the ongoing issues with photovoltaic panels, new standards and what code inspectors and the fire suppression personnel need to be aware of.
Door Assemblies - Paul Goldense - Goldense Building Products
Paul will showcase the latest trends in doors and hardware. Through an interactive presentation participants will learn about the many types of fire doors, frames, and hardware installed in buildings today and the code requirements for them.
Food Trucks, Fire and Life Safety Considerations For Street Vendors, Fairs and Festivals- Jacqueline Wilmot Fire protection Engineer
With the growing popularity of food trucks coming into our communities what should we be looking at for compliance with fire codes. What are the dangers of these food trucks. Bob will discuss the NFPA Standards, Federal and State regulations and new proposed codes for food trucks. Incidents, fires, and the role of local fire departments and code enforcement officials in planning for a safe event

This session will help participants identify ways in which a well design public fire and life safety campaign can aid in code enforcement and compliance.

Kurt will discuss the code requirements for special suppression systems and also provide case studies on the proper applications.
Youths at Risk - Dan Feeney
Fire Prevention personnel often are asked to assist with youth who get into trouble with fire. This session will examine the issues surrounding youth and their interaction often negatively with fire and explosives. Participants will gain an insight of the types of services available to help troubled youth.
ISO Rating - Fire Prevention, Fire Investigation and Pub Ed. - Mark J. Shelley, CFPS - Senior Field Representative, ISO Community Hazard Mitigation
What is the ISO rating and how does Fire Prevention affect that rating. This session will provide an overview of the requirement for a successful ISO rating and how Fire Prevention plays a part.
