IAFC Seeks Applicants for Committee Openings

The IAFC is now accepting letters of interest and resumes for the following IAFC committee openings:

  • Terrorism and Homeland Security Committee -http://www.iafc.org/...tm_campaign=spring16 This committee provides guidance to the IAFC and policymakers about how to prepare for the next terrorist attack. For more information, contact Ken LaSala.
  • Communication Committee - http://www.iafc.org/...tm_campaign=spring16 This committee focuses on wireless radio communication issues that impact the American fire service and public safety. For more information, contact Jim Goldstein.
  • Emergency Management Committee - http://www.iafc.org/...tm_campaign=spring16 This committee addresses issues of mutual aid and providing state-to-state coordination and oversight to the IMAS project. For more information, contact John Woulfe.
  • Hazardous Materials Committee - http://www.iafc.org/...tm_campaign=spring16 This committee serves as the IAFC's subject-matter experts regarding hazardous materials and dangerous goods. For more information, contact John Woulfe.
  • Human Relations Committee - http://www.iafc.org/...tm_campaign=spring16 This committee provides guidance on creating and implementing diversity and inclusiveness within fire departments. For more information, contact Tim Hopkins.
  • Professional Development Committee - http://www.iafc.org/...tm_campaign=spring16 This committee provides strategic direction in professional development to meet leadership challenges and to make the IAFC the source for developing effective, successful chief fire officers. Requirements for IAFC Committees

Previous committee experience is not required, but appropriate familiarity related to the assignment should be documented. Applicants must be current IAFC members to apply for these appointments. Your resume should provide details demonstrating your qualifications for the position you're applying for.
