As discussed at our recent General Membership Meetings and at the Board of Directors Meeting, our Legal Counsel has provided information and a recommendation regarding Fire Chiefs making a disclosure when presenting their budgets.
You will see in the Client Advisory provided by Mead, Talerman, & Costa that it is recommended that Fire Chiefs file a written disclosure each year and obtain a written determination from the appointing authority.
MT&C has requested further clarification from the State Ethics Commission, as noted in the advisory, and we will provide further information as it becomes available.
